Chandni Chowk To China Review

Chandni Chowk To China

chandni chowk to china-c2c

This is a movie about 'maar-saal' art, not to be confused with the martial arts that Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan practice with these magnificent and subtle skills on screen.

Akshay Kumar can not be accused of the sins of subtlety. Not at all. Going from a sweaty cook in Chandni Chowk in Delhi (India) for a cheese fighter in China with hammers, pliers and indecipherable languages. What between the extremes represented by the two Eastern cultures is to see to believe ... or not.

So this time. And find out why Bollywood can not compete with his cousins technical expert in the interior of the West and even China and Hong Kong.

When Jackie Chan kicks ass, man ... that really kicks! No two ways to do so. Akshay divides his time between being an action hero and a comic virtuoso, tripping over the line dividing the two genres with little or no room to contain the fall in the lower dash, plunges into the depths of inanity.

Sridhar Raghavan writer, known for their slick has cerebral formulas, turns a network of travel incidents chronic Sidhu (Akshay), a cook in Chandni Chowk to the satiric samurai in Shanghai, which is full of incidents and episodes of laughter that appear to be more of a clumsy comedy lampooning alleged that the Chinese big screen so that the spectacle of Bollywood to China.

Director Nikhil Advani has the hero in what looks like an extension of the Chambal ravines in China.

Frankly, if this film had been shot anywhere in the world, which was bland and equally fatuous. What compounds the story is woefully inadequate abject lack of connectivity between the protagonist and the public.

Even for a second thinking of doing a rush of adrenaline for the cultural empathy displaced Sidhu all kinds of meetings goons emaciated, terrified by an adequate and largely off-off villain named Hojo (Gordon Lieu), which is not Gabbar Singh or Mogambo. Only aging gorilla in a black suit that he does not know that's bad manners to urinate in public, especially the hero of the face.

When finished with the brutality of grace can be extremely detention and recently seen in "Ghajini". "Chandni Chowk to China" is the cause of much violence thin film.

The internationally renowned action directors in the pool might seem sure where to place the action. Located on the Great Wall of China, Akshay and his fellow fighters - and that includes the Lucy Desi Lieu Deepika Padukone - slug it drunken revelers in a frenzy of excitement.

Elegance is scarce in the film, except when Deepika, playing twin sisters, in a waltz step with light and shining eyes. She seems fun. We do not. This is mainly because the writer forgot to include the audience in his circle of entertainment.

Large chunks of this "adventure in Blunderland Sidhu saga leaves us cold and indifferent. And when the final battle between the hero and the villain is, Akshay decided to turn it into a fun ride. We're stunned that dazzled by the bewildering changes of mood in the plot.

Yes, there are moments that keep your attention. Sidhu martial arts training with double Deepika father is Chinese superbly orchestrated.

Most of the time you're watching a movie that does terrible things to the Indo-Chinese relations. Not to mention our traditional perception of the main 'masala maar-ke' entertainment.

Martial arts become 'maar-saal' arts. And leave the theater thinking it should be. A bird, a plane or just a pathetic parody of Jackie Chan's comic revenge sagas.

"Chandni Chowk to China" is not only a no-brainer. Lobotomised her laughter can make you want to anesthesia. At least you know where the numbness is coming from.
